Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

Perhaps the greatest problem in the world can be summarized as "disconnection"... We lack connection to our Self, to the Self of others, to Nature, to animals, to Life itself. We are instead connected to our mechanical devices... our phones, tablets, TVs, videos, Instagrams, and whatevers. We are also connected to our cravings and our addictions, whether physical or emotional.

Yet the connection that we need, the one that will heal not only ourselves but our world, is the connection to and with Love, Life, and with the Greater Good. We need to attune ourselves to what is Best for All, not just for our smaller self. The connection is ever present when we get out of our head and into our heart, and pay attention to the other sentient beings all around us, and that includes nature and animals, as well as humans.

Our articles this week take a look at various paths of connection, and also at some of the consequences of disconnection.
